Review & Swatches: LORAC Pro Palette DUPE

So I know there may be some people who may see this and hate the fact that this is not the REAL LORAC Pro Palette and just a dupe or fake. However this palette is worthy of a review as from my personal experience it has given me some great looks and I am in absolute love with it. I purchased mine at Makeup Haven for $150 TTD.

THE PACKAGING

The palette came in a box with an eye primer. The packaging is very sturdy and it opens and closes with magnetic locking. It is very thin, light and travel friendly. Although I have don't own the original LORAC Pro palette, this one looks like the splitting image of it.

THE PRODUCT

There are 16 shades in all. Mainly Earth-tone or Neutral colors. The top row are all Matte shades and the bottom row are all Shimmer shades.  As with most matte colors they are not that deeply pigmented however I have been loving Taupe, Sable and Espresso, which I mainly use as transition colors. I don't want to say they the matte colors are chalky because they aren't. If you want to wear the matte shades on your lid you MUST use a primer first. Now the shimmer colors are extremely pigmented, they are very buttery to the touch and a little goes a long way.

SWATCHES (without primer, with flash)

TOP ROW:
White, Cream, Taupe, Lt. Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black

BOTTOM ROW:
Nude, Champagne, Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate

OVERALL EXPERIENCE:
I absolutely recommend this palette, as much as it is a Dupe, it is very pigmented and the colors don't fade. Of course as with any eyeshadow, you much apply a base so that they colors can pop and last all day without creasing or fading. Here is a look I did using only this palette:

I give this palette a

5/5
Yes I love this palette that much. So check out Makeup Haven for your LORAC Pro Palette Dupe and see exactly what I am talking about.

Review: skyn ICELAND Fresh Start mask with Ice Age Mud

If you follow me you would see that I am subscribed to Ipsy and right now I am trying to use everything I get. I have a bad habit of hoarding makeup and I made a solemn oath to use up all my Ipsy stuff when I get them. So I decided to use my sample packet of skyn ICELAND® Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud from what I got in my February Glam Bag:

On their skyn ICELAND® website here they state that this mask is a weekly 10 minute treatment that polishes and re-texturizes skin to reveal a luminous, youthful translucence for a fresh start. And honestly I believed them from just reading the packet. Here is my review:

THE PACKAGING

Because this was a sample I received a packet and it was a Step 1 and Step 2 process.

THE PRODUCT
Step 1 came out with a blue colored type of clay product and Step 2 came out very transparent and gel like. It had no smell that was distinct, it was basically odorless which was a good thing, as I prefer face products with no smell at all.

THE APPLICATION
STEP 1: A blue clay that you massage all over your face. It did not burn or feel any uncomfortable way.

STEP 2 : A gel like product that you massage over that blue clay so that it can be activated.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I absolutely love this product, I am definitely inclined to purchase products from them. My face felt so rejuvenated and it had this glow. I am definitely sold on this product. I am so happy I got to try this because I would not have heard about skyn ICELAND if it wasn't for Ipsy. I give this product a definite

5/5

I would definitely recommend this product!!

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014 - Beauty Rocks

This month I was sort of disappointed with my Ipsy bag this month. Now during this month I received an email and when I read the subject I was like "WHAT??" But when I read the email in it's entirety I was like "Ok, I understand" Here is a copy the email I received:

I would like to publicly thank Ipsy for their SUPERB Customer Service!!! I sincerely appreciated that they didn't just send me the bag and not acknowledge that they made an error. GREAT JOB IPSY CUSTOMER CARE!!!

So again to explain, Ipsy is a monthly subscription beauty bag that gives you 4-5 deluxe sample or full size products to use each month for a low price of $10 USD per month. You get to try exclusive beauty products that you may have never heard about, or you heard about it but never got around to purchasing it.
